The Award for Public and Institutional design as well as the Overall Merit Award was given to the Evelyn Mitchell Infant School, Top Hill Clarendon designed by Taylor Architects.

Mark and Susan Taylor, architects from Taylor Architects, have received the 2014 Governor General's Award for Excellence in architecture for designing the Evelyn Mitchell Infant School/Centre of Excellence.
The award was conferred on May 31 at the Jamaican Institute of Architects awards ceremony for excellence in architecture, held at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.
Evelyn Mitchell Infant School cops top architectural award
Almost four years after being designated Jamaica's first early childhood centre of excellence by the Ministry of Education, the Evelyn Mitchell Infant School/Centre of Excellence has received yet another accolade.
At the Jamaican Institute of Architects' 2014 awards ceremony, the school's architectural designers, Taylor Architects, were presented with the Governor General's Award for Architecture as well as the award of merit in the Public and Institutional Category.
